About me
I am a writer based in Cambridge, UK. I live with a snake called Luisa, a giant African land snail called Carrot and a cat called Steve.
I hold a PhD from the University of Cambridge on children’s relationship with nature, and I have a background in ecology and conservation.
I am passionate about communicating how this relationship forms and why it is vital to continue to cultivate it throughout our lives. I believe this relationship is vital for our own wellbeing and for that of nature and the planet, and cultivating this during childhood is key.
My own relationship with nature has helped me navigate grief after the recent and sudden loss of my father. I believe one of the best ways to illustrate the importance of this relationship is by telling my own story.
I have a first-class degree in Natural Sciences from the University of Cambridge and a Master’s degree in Human Evolution & Behaviour from University College London.
